Appdata has ‘proprietary’ license (due to CC-BY-SA-3.0)
The appdata file for GNOME Mahjongg contains this:
<project_license>GPL-2.0+ and CC-BY-SA-3.0</project_license>
However, in the SPDX language, the use of and
means that the terms of both licenses must be complied with. CC-BY-SA-3.0
is not an FSF or OSI approved license, so this leads to Mahjongg being shown as proprietary in gnome-software.
The COPYING
file only contains the GPL-2.0+, so I guess the CC-BY-SA-3.0
clause was added to the SPDX description because the documentation is licensed under that? If so, I suggest changing the appdata file to use:
<project_license>GPL-2.0+</project_license>
I may have misunderstood the licensing situation, though; I am happy to be corrected.
