Ubuntu 18.10 folks (18.x generally?) may need to install: gnome-common gtk-doc-tools yelp-tools when autogen.sh stops with "You need to install gnome-common from the GNOME CVS"
installing gnome-common results in gnome-autogen.sh stopping with "You must have gtk-doc >= 1.9 installed". Ubuntu package name "gtk-doc-tools" varies from what gnome-autogen suggests.
installing gtk-doc-tools results in gnome-autogen.sh stopping with "yelp.m4 not found". the Ubuntu package yelp-tools is required to resolve this.
