touch-screen input rotation
Redirected here from Regolith project, there is an issue with gnome-flashback and touchscreens:
- if display in "portrait" mode, the input is still "landscape" - no difference if screen rotated in settings or orientation sensors (tested with Wacom tablet and the same)
- touchscreen is not listed in settings - input devices, cannot be switched on/off
- there is no setting for rotating input (touchscreen, tablet)
- "Coordinate Transformation Matrix" can be set using
xinput set-prop
but it is not practical for daily use - display auto-rotation (still on, no way to switch off) on convertible laptops works, but sometimes freezes and must be set back using
xrandr -o normal
Tested on Asus UX360U, in ubuntu-desktop 20.04 all works normal, except there is also no setting to switch rotation/touchscreen on/off. Related issue can be proper sensor recognition in tablet mode - keyboard is switched off, but touchpad still on.
