gnome-flashback 3.30 ignores org.gnome.desktop.background draw-background false
Hello, I maintain an Ubuntu-based distro that relies heavily on gnome-flashback. Thank you to contributors for their work and time! In my setup, i3-wm writes the desktop wallpaper when it loads via the i3 config file. feh is used to write the image. On Ubuntu 18.x (using gnome-flashback 3.28), this works as expected. When I do a dist upgrade to Ubuntu 19.04 however, suddenly the gnome wallpaper (that I use for the lockscreen) overwrites the image that feh had previously written a few seconds after login.
Steps to reproduce
- install gnome-flashback with i3, have i3 write the background on start in it's config file via feh.
- log into session
Expected behavior: the background image written by i3/feh is visible
Actual behavior: a second or two after login, the background written by feh is replaced by the gnome background.
Other info:
$ gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.background draw-background
false
