Formatting a device using exFat results in a raw device (exfatprogs)
Description of problem:
Selecting exFat to format a device fails and produces a raw device using gnome-disks. This happens since fedora 34 only includes the native driver and exfatprogs instead of fuse-exfat/exfat-utils (works if installed manually).
Formatting to exFat works using other tools like Gparted or cli
- Distro: Fedora 34 beta (64 bit)
- Desktop Enviroment: GNOME
- DE version: 40
Steps to Reproduce:
- Put a test device (pendrive) and select to format device from Disks or Nautilus
- In the list select "other"|exFat and accept
A dialog appears indicating an error. When checking the device it appears as a raw device.
The formatting process goes smoothly
