Bluetooth and Wi-Fi items in Power Saving are still ambiguous
In 3.34 the wording in the "Power" panel about turning off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is ambiguous.
This was previously addressed in this bug: #53 (closed)
However, Ubuntu has received bug reports about this, and a quick straw poll of Ubuntu developers revealed that some people still don't understand what this setting should do.
For example; the Wi-Fi text currently says:
"Wi-Fi can be turned off to save power."
In the cases where people are misunderstanding this setting the wording is being interpreted as meaning:
"The computer has power management which is able to selectively turn Wi-Fi on and off as needed in order to save power. Oh neat, yeah I would like some of that."
or put differently...
On = "Allow dynamic power management of the Wi-Fi hardware." Off = "Do not allow power management, just be on all the time."
The problem comes where when the toggle is in the Off state. People who misunderstand the text think that Wi-Fi would still be enabled.
