Please make the password requirement when adding users a little more obvious
I recently filed a bugreport downstream against gnome-control-center for the Ubuntu daily build where I thought that I could not add users with preset passwords. This turned out to be a user error, but it also got me thinking that maybe the interface for adding users can be made a little more obvious.
What happened was that I got confused by the checkmark that confirms the password matching, this made me miss the subtle textual requirement under the password strength-meter and also mistake the password strength-meter as a suggestion instead of being a enforced requirement.
As I suggested on Launchpad (linked above), maybe the interface could be made a little more obvious if the minimal password requirements are not met by either:
- Don't let the user reenter the password in the confirm-field or
- Don't confirm that the two passwords are matching (the checkmark shown in the confirm-field)
