sound: Fix volume sliders regression

Robert Ancell requested to merge robert.ancell/gnome-control-center:sound-gvc-mixer-control-non-null into master

GVC added additional checks that break where we were using a NULL value instead of a GvcMixerControl. Solution is to pass this object where appropriate.
