No app-in-background settings for flatpak apps
Not sure if that bug or less of the feature.
I am using Telegram communicator app (installed as flatpak) and I had a problem with closing app when it was minimized to "tray" when used X button in top-right of window (app closes and only icon as appindicator is left).
Problem was with background apps handling. I don't know how this happened, but I've missed (or missclicked) a big dialog about granting permission for app to work in background.
I accidently ran into flatpak's documentation about apps permission (I think that is not that obvious, especially for "casual" users) and I discovered that running flatpak permission-reset
command for that app would solve the problem.
It solved, because I had the dialog again and I've read in it that I could change the option about permission in settings menu, but there is no option about it.
So, what problem is:
- there are no app-in-background permission settings. They should exist, because that info is in dialog about granting that permission for an app (that I can rollback that permission in settings).
Sorry for long post. The problem was also that I couldn't find any information about that kind of problem easily. I really didn't know where to look for information about it, that was unusual problem to me and. Another question/problem:
- where that kind of information should be? Maybe can I contribute somewhere?
My configuration: Fedora 31 with GNOME 3.34.4
