monitor brightness control for external HDMI outputs
I was wondering if someone was considering to expand the functionality of the quick settings' brightness slider, to affect external monitors as well.
coming to Gnome from Windows, I used to use a Windows add-on made by Dell (my monitor makers), which provided GUI brightness and settings settings which offered an alternative to the shabby on-device buttons and menus. eventually I grew tried of the very old looking interface and found that the Window's Store has endless amount of such add-ons.
quick search examples: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9NW33J738BL0?hl=en-us&gl=US (the one I've used for a long time) https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9PPSVWJ4Z4QZ?hl=en-us&gl=US https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9P7W1ZC5H5HW?hl=en-us&gl=US
I find that I must change the brightness quite a bit, as the light in the room changes drastically throughout the day. I would appreciate being able to control the brightness via the pleasant Gnome UI, rather than the tedious monitor's integrated controls.
thanks
