No way to diagnose location issues

It's possible for people to encounter various issues with the device location: the location can be just wrong, or it can be low accuracy, or it might not have been possible to have updated the location for a while. This will obviously affect the performance of the apps and features which make use of the location.

Showing some information about location status in the panel would allow people to verify if device location is working properly. It would also allow them to get a sense of how potential issues are effecting them.

For this reason, the latest version of the location settings mockups include an embedded map and some information about the location. If embedding a map in the panel is too much work or too difficult, an alternative could be to use a list row that launches Maps.
