Add battery charge limiting/threshold setting
We have had lots of requests for this feature:
#1461 (closed) has been the main issue we have for it. However, it is hard to follow due to it tracking multiple changes, and including a lot of discussion. This new issue is meant to clarify what design we want. This is actually pretty simple:
It's a switch which turns on battery charge limiting. If we add this, we should also indicate when charge limiting is active in the shell's quick settings menu.
There are other complementary changes which could be made, including:
- Adding battery charge history graphs - #1419
- A battery health row and window
- A quick settings button to allow doing a one-off charge to 100%
These are all included in the latest power settings mockups. However, none of them are strict requirements for the battery charge limit setting.
