System freeze upon opening Power options
I should probably mention my setup consists of Lenovo laptop and eGPU (AMD GPU) but the freezes are happening either when the eGPU is connected or not - so it is probably not connected? I am using latest Fedora 36 Workstation edition.
The issue is when I open GNOME settings and do something inside the power options (or even stay in it and try to do something else - like moving my mouse from one monitor to the other.) causes system freeze and I have to do a hard shutdown via the power button.
I have only one external display connected directly to the laptop since connecting it directly to eGPU caused problems.
The issue still persists whether the laptop is on power or not, external display or not. So I figure that it is probably not a hardware compatibility issue.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open GNOME Settings
- Navigate to power options
- Optionally open suspend options but it also froze when having these settings just opened and moving my mouse to another monitor
I already opened a bug report on bugzilla via ABRT (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2116036) it is kernel-core package but since it happened only when using GNOME (when using KDE or other standalone WM it didn't freeze) I figured I should probably open a bug report here too.
