Setup of input methods cannot be opened from the gnome control center
Also reported here for Fedora 36: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2073306 and here: Cannot access preferences in Manjaro GNOME 42.1
On Fedora 36:
Using Gnome Wayland in qemu-kvm gnome-control-center-42.0-2.fc36.x86_64
- Open gnome-control-center
- Go to keyboard section
- Add some input method if there is none yet, for example ibus-anthy
- On the 3 dot menu to the right of the input method name, select "Preferences"
Nothing happens, after a while a dialog pops up:
"Settings" is no...
You may choose to
wait a short wile for
it to continue or force
the application to quit
entirely.
[Force Quit] [Wait]
Clicking on [Wait] just repeats this, the dialog appears again after a while. Clicking on [Force Quit] closes the gnome-control-center.
Just waiting and clicking nothing also closes the gnome-control-center after a while.
