It is no longer possible to change the keyboard backlight brightness on some devices
As discussed in !1020 (comment 1316414) the removal of the keyboard-backlight-brightness slider from the power pane of the control-center is an issue on some devices.
Not all devices have keyboard-backlight-brightness hotkeys or only allow on/off control through the hotkeys, so the keyboard-backlight-brightness hotkeys are not always a suitable replacement for the removes slider.
Some examples of devices where the brightness can now no longer be controlled at all:
-
The keyboard on the Lenovo Yoga Book YB1-X90/X91 series does not have any kbd-brightness hotkeys at all
-
The Logitech G510 keyboard has 255 brightness levels, the hotkey only toggles the backlight on (at last set brightness) and off.
Some examples of devices where the brightness can now no longer be fully controller:
- The Logitech G15 and Logitech G15 v2 keyboards have 16 levels, the brightness hotkeys only toggles between on / half-brightness / off.
