Cannot add extra keyboard layout "ruu"
I try to add keyboard layout "Russian (with Ukrainian-Belorussian layout)", defined in /usr/share/X11/xkb/rules/base.extras.xml
. I cannot find it in GUI.
From what I've seen on the Internet, adding layouts from base.extras.xml
requires setting a flag org.gnome.desktop.input-sources show-all-sources
to true
. I did it, with no effect.
Steps to reproduce:
- Execute
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.input-sources show-all-sources true
in console - Open GNOME Settings
- Go to "Region & Language" tab
- Press "+" button under "Input sources"
- Press "...", last in the list of input sources
- Press "Other", last in the list of input sources
- Try to find "Russian (with Ukrainian-Belorussian layout)"
- It's not there
I cannot type without this layout, so please provide at least workaround for this. Thank you.
I use Ubuntu 18.04.1 with GNOME 3.28.2; glibc
version is 2.27-3ubuntu1.
