Microphone Volume Over-Amplification Not Reflected in Settings
Affected version
Version Information
- OS: Ubuntu 20.10
- GNOME Version: 3.38.1
- Affected Versions: Wayland (XOrg not tested)
Bug summary
The Microphone Volume allows over-amplification when the over-amplification option is switched on in Tweaks. However, the same is not reflected in control-center. While recording, one can increase the volume beyond 100% through the system dialog in top bar. However, control-center still shows Mic Volume as 100%.
Steps to reproduce
- Allow Over-Amplification in
gnome-tweaks
- Try to record something(Using Sound-Recorder or any other app) so that the mic indicator appears in the Top Bar
- In the system dialog, increase mic volume to greater than 100%.
- Open the sound panel, in settings. Observe mic volume is still showm as maximum(i.e. 100%).
What happened
