Description
So I have a very strange problem, from what I can determine evolution-contacts-search provider starts up on a fresh login and eats up all the swap space, but strangely doesn't eat up the memory. What happens then is that machine is constantly slow because it's dealing with a low memory situation and web pages crash, OOM starts on occasion making the entire experience to not be very good.
My system configuration is Arch Linux on Lenovo thinkpad X1 Carbon 3rd gen with 8 Gigs of memory.
Steps to reproduce:
- Login on either wayland or x session
- run htop
- watch as gnome-contacts-provider starts up as well as other evolution processes and then experience a slowdown and watch the swap space eat things up
