"Chess Engines" section in manual should explain how to add custom engine

Description
The "Chess Engines" section of the manual just claims that glchess works with a looooot of engines, but it completely omits a hint on what to do if it DOESN'T recognise an engine. What is the user supposed to do when he has enough expertise to edit a few config files and wants glchess to use a custom engine it doesn't recognise yet?
If adding unrecognised engines to glchess isn't possible without complicated measures (e.g. editing the source code), there should be instead a hint on whom to ask to get an unsupported engine added to the list of recognised engines (e.g. link to this bug tracker).
