Font size of date numbers, event names and start time is smaller than other apps (blocked on other density-related issues)
The font size of date numbers, event names and start time is not the same as other apps in GNOME. It is currently 14.4px 0.9rem while the HIG recommends to use the "body" style for most interfaces which is 14.66px. We should use standards if we don't have a special reason to do differently.
Increasing the font size to 14.66px makes text much more readable. Labels get ellipsized only a letter earlier on my 1980px wide display and no scaling.

Edit note by @jfft: px sizes here are meaningless, we are using rem
as a unit 90% the size of the user's system body size. See my comment below for clarification.
