Frames are counter-intuitive
I use the following Builder version:
3.33.3-21-g6513765c1
flatpak-nightly
This is going to be more of a request for some UX improvements rather than a bug report. I'm running Builder on a 4K 27" display, which has a lot of screen estate, and I like to make use of it by using two frames. However, Builder's implementation of the frames is somewhat counter-intuitive.
Here are some of the pain points that I've encountered in the past couple of months:
- It seems that Builder remembers which frame a file was last shown in, and it's impossible to have the same file shown in the other frame without opening the file again.
- If a file was open in both frames, it shows up twice in the Open Pages list, and it's unclear which item in the list corresponds to which frame.
- Right-clicking a symbol and clicking on "Go to Definition" will sometimes open the other file in the same frame, and sometimes in a different frame. And again there is usually no way to put it in the other frame, besides manually searching for the file in the folder tree and opening it in the other frame.
I would appreciate if the frames worked in a more intuitive way, perhaps similarly to how Qt Creator's split views work: there should be only one item in the Open Pages list for each file, and clicking them should open the file in whichever frame is currently focused.
