Special characters (umlauts) prevent dir sharing from working
STR:
- In a German distribution the default selected folder (
~\Public
) is actually namedÖffentlich
(notice theÖ
). Use this default folder to setup folder sharing. - For comparison, also setup a different folder, without any umlaut.
What happens:
First of all, already the display in GNOME Boxes fails at showing the Ö
properly.
Also, in the guest Windows, the "dir" is displayed as a file and not as a folder:
Note that both shares have such an umlaut (ö
) in the description and thus I guess Windows is not the issue here, as the other folder is properly displayed and can be used.
What should happen:
Show folder correctly and "make it work".
