Mime type alias doesn't work well with multiple handlers

Description
We want to make Nautilus the default mime handler for zip archives but also have fileroller as a fallback.
Currently in Fedora this is done by having in /usr/share/mimeapps.list as follow: application/x-zip=org.gnome.FileRoller.desktop; application/zip=org.gnome.Nautilus.desktop;org.gnome.FileRoller.desktop;
since application/x-zip is an alias for application/zip, it should supposedly work well and have Nautilus as default. However the result is that file roller is the default for zip archives.
