## Description
The string "ago" is marked as translatable on its own. A quick look at the .glade file tells me you're trying to construct something like `<duration field>``<"ago>`, which doesn't work in some other language. For instance, in French, "3 years ago" would be translated "depuis 3 ans", which more or less matches the "for 3 years" construct. So translating "ago" to "depuis" would produce something like "3 ans depuis" in the interface, which is bad.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glade/-/issues/174Build installed tests2018-03-26T15:40:41ZBugzillaBuild installed tests## Submitted by Vadim Rutkovsky

I'm trying to add GtkScrolledWindow as a parent of a GtkGrid.
It does look sucessful in the screenshot but Glade actually removes the GtkGrid and its child from xml after creating the GtkScrolledWindow.
The xml file is attached. The content-grid is the one I'm trying to add the parent.

Gzipped .UI file
Yesterday, trying to update yet another old project, I had a problem with a GtkNotebook, where suddenly its background (i.e. the area right of the tabs, above the actual pages) went transparent (white/grey blocks appeared).
I could not find any way to restore it, so, I reloaded the project - which was already sizable. The contents of that notebook's disappeared (the pages now transparent) and the background, as described above, is also transparent.
The contents of the pages is still in the .UI file though!
I tried to view the window in the glade-previewer, but it aborts with:
Gtk:ERROR:gtknotebook.c:1255:gtk_notebook_buildable_add_child: assertion failed: (page != NULL)
Aborted
(This was before I added the empty Page 3 for testing)
Attached is the UI as it stands.
Note: A probably non-harmful, but still erroneous message appears when starting the program:
(glade:26770): Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_file_chooser_button_set_property: Choosers of type `GtkFileChooserButton` do not support selecting multiple files.
Appears 4 times, even though I have only two GtkFileChooserButton's in the program.

## Description
Using the box model as a layout mechanism has the inconvenient effect of generating a lot of widgets to enable the developer of getting the desired layout.
As a result UI description files can contain a lot of widgets. If you want to present the user with a list of relevant widgets the developer is likely to interact with in the application, we need a way to differentiate these widgets in the UI file.
In the case the developer actually cares about a widget, he's very likely to give it a particular name, whereas unimportant widgets will be left untouch with the default generated id.
The attached patch is a cheap way of recognizing widgets that the developer actually cares about, by prefixing the automatically generated names with '_'.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glade/-/issues/166Combo editor: signals pane is too small2018-03-26T15:38:35ZBugzillaCombo editor: signals pane is too small## Submitted by Michael Catanzaro `@mcatanzaro`

This version does read the .glade file completely and even writes the .ui file without problems (after a long list of warnings... difficult to access (see other bug report)).
Running the program (after modifying the main program, calling gtkbuilder), gives this error:
"Unknown internal child: entry"
In the .ui file many internal-child tags do get accepted, but this one, which is about an internal entry in a gtkCombo doesn't. I can't figure out why... Improve documentation in catalogintro
The pages under the header "Adding Your Custom Widgets" could use the following improvements:
- Grammar edits to improve clarity: For instance, there are a number of run-on sentences that make parsing the documentation rather difficult.
- Cross references: Instead of mentioning that concepts will be explained in the "next" chapter, link to it.
- Improved cohesiveness: It would have helped my understanding if all the documentation under this header referred to a common widget and walked me through modifying the catalog for this widget.
- Improved example: It also would have also helped my understanding if the example widget were something more conceptually familiar, like a TVChannelWidget, instead of something abstract like a FooFrobnicator.
I've started making changes to the documentation that help meet these goals. Comments are welcome.
