Make gitg sign commits
Signing commits with GPG or S/MIME should be encouraged, but right now I can't find a way to do this with gitg.
After configuring git with gpg.x509.program gpgsm
, gpg.format x509
, user.signingKey
and finally commit.gpgSign true
, I expected gitg to honor this and make commits signed by default, but that does not happen.
Explicitly enabling signing in the gitg preferences could be another option, to make sure any git commit command executed gets passed the -S
argument.
Reporting as but as encouraged on IRC.
