GIMP 2.10.14 fails to start on Windows
I have a brand new Windows 10 system. I installed 2.10.14, and initially it worked fine. The only change I made was to tweak a few settings, e.g. to switch to multi-window mode. I have not attempted to install any plugins or do anything else.
When I came to use it today, I found it would not start. I therefore ran gimp-console-2.10.exe and saw the following:
GEGL-Message: 12:41:11.030: Module 'C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gegl-0.4\ff-load.dll' load error: 'C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gegl-0.4\ff-load.dll': The specified module could not be found.
GEGL-Message: 12:41:11.046: Module 'C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gegl-0.4\ff-save.dll' load error: 'C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gegl-0.4\ff-save.dll': The specified module could not be found.
At this point, it simply hangs, and I have to kill the process from the task manager.
The dll files listed are in fact present in the directory specified.
I have tried re-installing, the last time without 32-bit plugin support. I have deleted the GIMP user folders under AppData. It makes no difference. Please could someone give any pointers as to what the issue is?
