When using a GIH brush with an angular dimension or a normal brush with angular dynamics in GIMP 2.8, the start of the stroke is often jittery with no clear direction.
This problem does not occur in GIMP 2.6.
See the attached images for a representation of the effect. In each case, the brush is a flattened circle aligned to the direction of the stroke. For GIMP 2.6, only the GIH was tested, since GIMP 2.6 does not support angular dynamics.
When using GIMP 2.8, the problem occurs irrespective of whether a GIH or normal flattened circle brush with angular dynamics is used.
Image 1: GIH brush with angular dimension in GIMP 2.6 Image 2: Same GIH brush in GIMP 2.8. Notice jittery start of stroke Image 3: Flattened Circle brush with angular dynamics in GIMP 2.8. Again, jittery start of stroke is visible
A sample GIH brush is also included in the attachment.
