Focus problem on the Open dialog
GIMP version: 2.10.10
Operating System: Xubuntu 18.10
Package: Standard Debian package
Previously in Gimp when you accessed the Open Image dialog (Ctrl-O), the current item received focus. If you wanted the next item in the list you pressed the down arrow and hit Return. In the past couple of releases, something has changed. When the Open Image dialog appears, the current item has a grey bar, but it does NOT have the focus in the normal sense. If you press Return, the current image will indeed be opened, but in order to move the highlight to the next item it is necessary to press the down-arrow twice. The first time causes the current item to get the full focus (it becomes not just highlighted, but active) and the second press then moves the cursor down to the next item.
This is just an annoyance, but it becomes an aggravation when you are working on a large collection of files and have to do this over and over. Please restore the old behavior where the current item in the list was immediately activated so that only one down-arrow press is required.
Thanks.
