"dynamic" tab-icons in toolbox make tabs hard to distinguish
Here's a screenshot of GIMP-2.99 (left) and 2.10 (right) toolboxes:
I've selected the brush tool in both versions of GIMP. Notice the last three icons in a row at the right of each toolbox. Notice the duplicate and triplicate identical/nearly identical icons.
In 2.10, the tool options dialog icon remains the same regardless of what tool is chosen. This is very helpful as I don't have to stop and think what the tool options icon actually looks like - it's always the same, very predictable. In 2.99, it changes to look like the icon for the selected tool, which means looking for a different icon every time I change tools, as often I don't have the tool options dialog right on top in the toolbox.
In both 2.10 and 2.99, the tool presets dialog icon changes to match the tool every time a different preset is chosen. This means remembering to look for the actual icon for the tool, in the toolbox, instead of having a constant, unchangin icon for the tool preset list.
In 2.99, at least for the paint tools, it's possible to have three icons in the toolbox that all look alike - the presets icon, the tool options dialog, and the brush editor dialog. This means possibly having to click two or three times to get to the right dialog.
Please could each dialog have its own constant, non-varying icon? Instead of having the dialog icon change according to the chosen tool (tool options dialog) or preset (preset list)?
