Folder is empty in open-dialog on drives connected with combination of "subst" and "directory-junctions"
GIMP version: 2.10.8
Operating System: Windows 10 64bit (v1803)
Package: Installer from gimp.org
Description of the bug
When I want to access files on a drive X:\ in GIMP, GIMP is not showing the files (folder is empty). Drive X:\ = created with "directory-junctions" and "subst" via CMD in windows (see: reproduction)
Reproduction
Always
Reproduction steps:
- create a new folder "D:\testfolder" and put some pictures in it
- create a directory junction to this folder with CMD:
mklink /J D:\testfolder D:\testfiles
- connect the folder with the directory-junction to a virtual drive in CMD:
subst X: "D:\testfolder"
- now in windows-explorer a new drive X:\ is visible which contains the pictures of step 1
Expected result: content of X:\ is showing in open-dialog
Actual result: When I now open GIMP and want to access the files on X:\ the folder is empty in the open-dialog. In previous versions (tested with 2.8) the files were showing but with recent versions not anymore
Additional information
Worked well with version 2.8
