Description of the bug
When I create a new RGB image with 32 bit color depth, I expect to be able to use all (2^32)^3 colors.
To test this, I opened the color picker dialog, and I was delighted to see the color values with decimal digits:
When I tried to enter 93,333 into the R color component, only the first fractional digit was accepted, resulting in 93,3 instead of the expected 93,3333.
To extend the color range, I clicked into the R color component field and pressed Up. This allowed me to change the R value to 500, leading to funny animations in the other color components. This looked more like an accident than pure intention.
Intuitively, the value should be restricted to the range 0..100, as indicated by the two buttons 0..100 and 0..255.
Because I had never seen a color picker with decimal digits before, I created an RGB image with color depth 8 to see if the color picker has decimal places there, too. And indeed, it has. Does it make sense to pick a color with greater precision than the image pixels? Sure, it can make a difference, but it might also lead to confusion.
