Gimp crashed when I was resizing and image that I cut from another image

Is the bug reproducible? [Always / Randomly / Happened only once ]

Reproduction steps:
- Selected a region using the rectangle tool
- ctrl+c
- ctrl+v
- resize using the scale tool
- Press enter

Expected result: ??
Actual result: Everything worked fine
