Select and manipulate multiple layers at once
I will simply describe the use case, I think it should become obvious what is missing.
I am trying to create a gif out of 800 frames, each a png rendered earilier with blender. The gif will be a watermark to overlay on video's, and thus needs to be semi-transparent.
I found it is difficult if not impossible to combine semi-transparent pngs into a semi-transparent gif (possibly due to a bug in gif exporting!) So instead, I decided to render all the pngs solid white on a transparent background, and than lower the opacity in gim before exporting the layers as a gif.
But these are 800 frames, 800 layers, and there is no way to change opacity of all layers at once. Well, unless I add all layers to a group and change the opacity of the group. So how do I add layers to the group? Appearlty this can only be done by dragging and dropping them all one by one.
there might be some easier way to do this already, and I would gladly hear about it. But never the less this is to difficult for beginners to make sense. There should be an easy way to apply opacity to all layers, be it be grouping multiple layers in an easy manner, or by selecting all of them directly.
(also someone should go look what is wrong with the gif export function not allowing semi-transparency, but that is a seperate issue)
