PSD files are loaded as merged by default, depending on UI language
Operating System: Xubuntu 18.04, 64-bit
GIMP 2.10.4 In order to display the PSD file correctly, the "Merge" function is activated! But how should I show all the layers?
Just use the PSD saved by GIMP, but now the PSD saved by GIMP can't see the layers again. So I can't edit the design on a layer.
1. Create 3 layers in GIMP 2.10.4 and export them as PSD files. (Draw a few strokes on each layer as a marker)
2. Then use GIMP to open this PSD file with only one layer. (At this time, there are 3 layers in the PSD file, but GIMP will display the layer as a merged effect.)
(I know this is a new function in GIMP 2.10.4, but I want to edit a layer in the PSD file again.)
I have found the cause of the problem.
The problem is the interface language of GIMP.
-
I tested use Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Russian interface. ⊙﹏⊙‖∣°
(Opening the PSD file is a layer merge effect.) -
Use English (en_US), Korean interface. O(∩_∩)O
(effect is normal, all layers will be displayed.)
