Display current values in Paint dynamics editor
Description of the feature
I suggest to add to the >paint dynamics editor<, more precisely to the curve mapping view the ability to display the current value of the selected source (if there is a meaningful reading available).
I am thinking of a two-part solution:
-
a text-overlay printing out the current value (and the applicable Range if possible) -
a highlighting point on the cuve, graphically showing the current value
The text overlay presumably could use the same functionality which is used to display the mouse coordinates if it is in the diagram.
Use cases
I am using a Surface Book with the surface pen and want to map the pens pressure reading to some of my tools options, but I'm having a hard time adjusting the curve to my needs. Knowing the current value would give me a valuable clue, which parts of the curve need adjusting
Thinking of the wide range of different Devices that can be used and the great variety of user-preferences and use-cases i think that this feature would make the life of many people easier by saving a lot of time and preventing frustration.
