fix fonts when exporting to pdf

The main problem with this fix is having to expose the internal fc xml to plugins which do text rendering.

Also, not entirely sure about the code to check for missing fonts, as it doesn't rely on the custom fc xml/generated lookup names. Also not sure about the its use case.
