Issue #8897: Add option to change transparency type in View menu
This attempts to implement the feature requested in issue #8897.
Currently you have to open the Preferences dialogue each time you want to change the transparency color style (e.g. from mid-tone checks to solid black and back again). This merge request adds options to the View menu to change those settings, potentially speeding up a user's workflow.
