Changing Text Color Crashes GIMP

Description of the bug
Creating text, then trying to edit the color of the text results in an application crash.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Randomly.
Reproduction steps:
- Open GIMP.
- Create a new file.
- Crate text.
- Highlight it all.
- change the color.

Expected result: Color of text changes
Actual result: GIMP Crashes with the error below output to console.
