Oracle Linux and Gimp and missing font

Description of the bug

Gimp loads but any text is shown as small boxes. Running program via shell gives following error messages:

$ flatpak run org.gimp.GIMP

Reproduction

Is the bug reproducible? Always

Reproduction steps:

1. Install Gimp via Software in Activities (uses flatpak). NB: I checked that the Canterell font is already installed when searched for it.
2. Open Gimp and program loads but text is shown as small boxes
3. Open a shell and run 'flatpak run org.gimp.GIMP' to see error messages. …

Expected result: GIMP loads which proper text.

Actual result: GIMP loads with text shown as boxes.
