Select all -> Copy -> paste inserts an empty layer.
- I installed gimp 2.99.14 on Linux from source.
- I opened two images.
- I selected the first image (select all) and copied it.
- I pasted it in the second image.
- I'm getting an empty layer now in the second image for the selection representing the pasted image layer.
- However, if I select a region of the first image, I can correctly copy and paste it in the second image.
- Also, if I drag the second image into the first, it copies and pastes correctly.
