GIMP Freezing when opening files MacBook Pro
Hello! I tried to open a .psd template file, after watching several videos on YT advising that it could be done (silly, I know). I got the templates legitimately from a legit website. When I tried to open the .psd template, some of the images from the template opened but opened zoomed in, and others did not open. When I tried to click on layers, etc. I realised that GIMP froze and would not respond at all. Ever since then, anytime I try to open any files, GIMP opens them as just a "checkered" image, and will not respond. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall GIMP. I have tried to wipe every memory of GIMP off the MacBook Pro, but it is as if the Mac remembers GIMP (showing me "recents" when I go to "File/Open", for example). I am unable find any solutions to this issue and would appreciate any help. Maybe someone here knows how to completely wipe GIMP from the MacBook, without it remembering that it encountered this "bug". Or maybe someone knows how to "reset" or "debug" GIMP.
