Theme issues remaining for GIMP 3.0 release
This is a catch-all tickets about remaining issues I see for GIMP 3.0, regarding theming:
-
No dark theme yet. -
No mid-gray theme yet, but possibly soon with !683 (closed)? -
Add ability to have a light and dark variant as a single theme. In GTK, it loads gtk-dark.css, in GIMP, we could load gimp-dark.css. -
In the Light theme: -
In "Create New Image Dialog", I see a very weird black border in the "Advanced Options" frame and still couldn't figure out where it comes from. -
The small Wilber over the toolbox is invisible and we could not figure out which colors is being used (TODO: check the code?).
-
-
Understand why the toolbox buttons can't be smaller. If the icons is smaller, only the design shrinks, but the button stays big. It might be related to the drawing for the button group feature? -
Should we have a way to set icon sizes in Preferences? Or maybe add back a "Small" theme as we used to have in 2.8 for people who like more compact GUIs? -
Check system-wide user preference through the new Freedesktop portal (moved to #8675 for 3.2 milestone) -
FG/BG area in toolbox stay the size it was originally requested, even when an icon size happened. It should become dynamic (see also commit 00fbcbea).
