Printing in Windows is displaced, preview is incorrect.
Environment/Versions
- GIMP version: GIMP 2.10.24 (revision 3)
- Operating System: Windows 10
- Printer: Epson PX-204, driver v.1.53 English
- Display: 4K TV, display settings 250% scale.
Description of the bug
When trying to print a postcard (100x148), by default the image is displaced. When accessing Print->Image settings, the paper size is wrong, not the one configured in the driver. The image is also appeared cropped, floating randomly.
When pushing print button, image is sent uncropped, but still displaced.
There are no problems with Photoshop, or Office. FastStone is also fine.
Reproduction
Get a 4K display/TV Set Gimp to high dpi scheme. Get Windows 10, and Epson driver (My is from around 2005-2007) Set windows dpi scale to 250% Edit a non-A4 format photo in GIMP Set the corresponding non-A4 paper in the printer driver Go to Print->Image settings, and see problems in the preview Try printing, see displaced result.
Expected result:
The paper dimensions should be fetched from the driver, The preview should be finely rendered, and the photo finely arranged there. The printing should be by the preview, and centered on the paper by default.
Actual result: Preview is incorrect, printing is displaced.
Additional information
Setting paper manually in the paper setup does not fix the preview rendering bug, and still has some horizontal displacement
