[PDF Export] Text layers lose their (custom) font on export
Environment/Versions
- GIMP version: GIMP 2.10.24 (revision 3)
- Package: GIMP 2.10.24 installer revision 3
- Operating System: Win 10
Description of the bug
I have a GIMP file with text layers that uses manually installed fonts. When I export the project as PDF the result doesn't show the correct fonts. Instead it seems to be defaulting to very basic fonts (like Times New Roman, Tahoma etc.).
All I can do is merge down text layers. As soon as they're merged down (and thus no longer a text layer) the resulting PDF shows the desired result.
What am I doing wrong? Why does PDF export lose the actual font?

Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Always
Reproduction steps:
- Install the font 'Lato' from https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Lato
- Open GIMP and create a new project with white background
- Create a text layer with the installed font 'Lato'.Untitled.xcf
- Export as PDF and select "Apply layer masks before saving", "Convert bitmaps to vector graphics where possible" and "Omit hidden layers and layers with zero opacity". (I actually believe the settings don't matter)
- Check out the exported PDF file and you'll see a different font than 'Lato'. Untitled.pdf
Expected result: The PDF file should display the text with the font 'Lato' (sans serif).
Actual result: The PDF file displays the text in a font that looks like 'Times New Roman' (serif).
