Computer Lockup- Major Issue
- GIMP version:
- Package: Latest Gimp RPM Package on Fedora Linux
- Operating System: Fedora Linux 34
When zooming in or out in a image, the computer completely freezes and has seizures. Random colors flicker and nothing works. The only way to fix this is to manually restart the computer by pushing the power button. This leads to data loss and instability. The screenshots will show what a normal desktop looks and the one gimp caused to be messed up visually. The video file will also be included. Description of the bug
Is the bug reproducible? Randomly- It has happened 5 times in the last week
- edit a large image for about 30 minutes or more
- hold ctrl and use scroll wheel
- randomly happen
Expected result: I zoom in or out in the image
Actual result: Computer freezes and has seizures. The fifth time it left visual artifacts even after a restart. It took over 2 hours to clear up.
