Can't click on sliders to change indicator position in color selection tools
GIMP version: 2.10.22
Operating System: Arch Linux (kernel 5.10.3)
Package: official distribution package
Description of the bug
In a previous version of GIMP (can't recall whether 2.8.* or after) I was able to click anywhere on a slider in a color selection tool (e.g. foreground color selector) to change its position. This is also currently the case on Windows (just checked). However, I'm not able to do so on Linux, I can only click on the indicator itself and drag it to change the color selection. This makes choosing a color much harder as the indicator is usually very small on the screen and hard to hit.
Screen recording (colors will probably look wrong to you because of color management). VP9 version attached below for those who prefer.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Always
Reproduction steps:
- Open any color selection tool (foreground color, background color, text color).
- Attempt to change the selected color by clicking on the slider (not the indicator).
Expected result:
The slider should change its position to the currently location of the cursor when clicked, and should immediately begin a "click and drag" movement from that position if the user continues holding the button.
Actual result:
Nothing happens.
Additional information
I'm using Plasma / KDE. Haven't tested under any other window manager / DE.
