Is the bug reproducible?

Reproduction steps:

  1. Download photo from Google Photos taken on Google Pixel 5
  2. In Gimp go to file open
  3. Click on a photo that doesn't already have a preview thumbnail

Expected result: Preview thumbnail displays

Actual result: Preview thumbnail displays, but error report is shown
