GIMP 2.99/2.10 100% reliably crashes when painting using different blend modes
This is on Debian Sid, using babl/GEGL/GIMP updated this morning, but it also affects GIMP updated through about a week ago. Here's the procedure:
Start GIMP. Make a new image using the foreground color. Choose the VBR Hardness 100% brush with default settings.
- Paint a stroke using Normal blend.
- Change the blend mode to something else and paint another stroke. Repeat 1. and 2. above, each time choosing another blend mode.
Eventually, after 5 or so, or once even after 1 change in the blend mode, GIMP crashes. It segfaults and freezes the computer, necessitating a restart after pushing the computer on/off button to shut it down.
There is no bug report pop-up.
When running GIMP through gdb, the computer freeze happens before the option to backtrace.
