Inaccurate colors using eyedropper
GIMP version: 2.10.18 Operating System: Windows Package: Installer from gimp.org
Description of the bug and reproduction
This is my case : I choose a color using eyedropper (from the "Change Foreground/Background Color" window) and then using the pencil to paint, for example, a single pixel, I eye-drop the pixel I drew, only to find out its color is slightly different from the original color I used. Personally, I can't tell the difference between these 2 colors, but I don't think that should be the case anyways. I can do this process repeatedly, but the color I pick (using eyedropper) is never too far from the original.
Is the bug reproducible? Always
Reproduction steps:
- Select a random color
- Paint with pencil (normal mode, RGB color space)
- Eye-drop one of the pixels you drew
Expected result: Get the same color (hex value) Actual result: Colors are different
