HEIF color management issue

GIMP version: 2.10.18

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 19041.153

Package: Installer from gimp.org

Description of the bug

GIMP has a strange color management strategy while saving HEIF file: it will treat the original image as a sRGB image, then convert it into its original colorspace.

Reproduction

Is the bug reproducible? Always

Reproduction steps:

  1. Open a PNG file in ProPhoto RGB / P3..., and choose to keep the colorspace;
  2. Export it as HEIC with "save color profile" clicked.

Expected result: the exported image is identical to the original one.

Actual result: as described in bug description.

Additional information

If you have a backtrace for a crash or a warning, paste it here.
